Certainly one of the most beautiful religious architecture in the capital, the church Saint Eustache is inspired to the Gothic art for the most part of its realizations.
Even if it dates back to the 16th century, its insides adopt the Renaissance style. In the church there is one of the two known copies of the Disciples of Emmaüs that Rubens paints around 1611. Started in 1532, it had not been finished. The incomplete part was realized between 1617 and 1624. The church, already great, would have probably reached stately dimension and height if it had been finished. It follows Notre-dames’ style.
