This bastion was built from 1409 to 1411 and it’s everything remaining of the beautiful Parisian palaces belonging to Burgundy dukes. From the architectural point of view the tower is particularly interesting for its great spiral staircase, which imitates Charles V’s one in the Louvre museum, for the decorations on the staircase vault, one of the big works of French sculpture, and then for the oldest Parisian “toilettes”!
